Cernunnos or Herne is the "Horned
One" of the Celts, a god of animals, fertility and the wildness inside
ourselves. Both hunter and hunted, he is the god of life, death and rebirth, ruling the dark half of the year. In his aspect
of Herne the Hunter, he is the leader of the Wild Hunt. Cernunnos or Herne
teaches us to accept our own wild self, to face fear and to adapt to the
challenges that face us as we journey into the Unknown.
