Buckle of Isis The Buckle of Isis "The blood of Isis, the virtue of Isis, the magic power of Isis, the magic power of the Eye, are protecting this the Great One; they prevent any wrong being done to him." - the Egyptian Book of the Dead

This symbol is also known as the Girdle of Isis, the Belt of Isis, Tie of Isis, Knot of Isis, or Blood of Isis. The Egyptian word for this symbol is the tit, or the tyet. The buckle represents the power of menstruation, fertility and Isis's role as mother of the god. The eye being referred to here is most likely the eye of Isis's womb. Most often these amulets are carved in red jasper, and the above passage was carved upon it, as a powerful protective spell.
